Beginning Improv for Adults:

Sundays, 1-3 pm October 26 – Nov 30 (no class Nov. 23 rd )

Class size 16, Age 18 and older
Cost: $125
Each class in this five-week course will focus on a different aspect of improv. Students
will learn the power of “yes and,” and the art of listening and responding, finding
agreement, using the environment and developing characters—all in a fun supportive
environment! Improv adds another tool to a stage actor’s toolbox and can be applied to
business and social settings as well. Each student will discover their own improv style
while having fun with other students. If you are new to improv, or want to brush up on
your skills, this is the class for you! Maximum class size– 16 students.

Improv Scene Work for Adults:

Class size 16, Age 18 and older
Cost: $125
This class series puts the “fun” in improv fundamentals and will dig deeper into the
aspects of good scene work – Scene starts, entering and editing scenes, character
development, creating environment, heightening and agreement, status and
endowment, and finding the game in a scene. Students will do a lot of scene work, and
play some short-form improv games that focus on different improv elements.
Prerequisite: Beginning Improv for Adults or equivalent class at another theater (with
approval by instructor) Maximum class size– 14 students.
