MagenTOTS

The current TOTs committee, made up of experienced TOTs directors and participants, will be completing guidelines and procedures using real shows as tests so the incoming TOTs participants will know exactly what is expected of them.

If you want to join the TOTs committee to be a part of choosing directors and scripts for the following season, we would love to have you get involved! During the fourth quarter of the year we will be sending opportunity announcements via social media, email and the newsletters. During the specified dates and times, you will simply need to sign up on the Magenta Theater website. Of the people that have signed up, the TOTs committee will choose the 5 most qualified candidates.

In the third quarter of the year, after our playbook has been tested and completed, we will be sending out requests for script submissions, directors, assistant directors, stage managers, production managers, lighting, sound, costuming and hair and makeup for our next season.

If you are interested in directing, and you are a current Magenta community member, you will be asked to submit your director resume and cover letter that includes your vision for a TOTs show and the script you would like to direct. The TOTs committee will choose the directors for the following season from the online submissions.

If you are new to Magenta theater or directing in general, we will ask that you assistant direct/stage manage first to learn the Magenta ropes. Following the TOTs performance you are assistant directing, your skills will be assessed by the TOTs committee and, if approved, you will be allowed to direct!
