ABOUT THE SHOW
A wonderful, nostalgic, whimsical, touching, funny, and moving look at 25 years of American culture, through the lives of two lovers who meet once a year for a romantic weekend. The plot follows a love affair between two people, Doris and George, married to others, who rendezvous once a year. Twenty-five years of manners and morals are hilariously and touchingly played out by the lovers.

After a 20-year hiatus, Jessica Jazdzewski (pronounced yaz-jev-ski) takes the stage playing Doris in her debut performance at Magenta. She previously appeared in 10 productions at the State Professional Theater of West Virginia, Greenbrier Valley Theatre. Some of her favorite acting adventures have included roles in God's Country, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Charlotte's Web, and A Christmas Carol. Jessica also directed youth productions and taught children's theater at Greenbrier Valley Theater, Greenbrier East High School, and Carnegie Hall of Lewisburg. She earned a degree in architecture from the University of Oregon with minors in business and fine art. She also studied landscape architecture in Kyoto, Japan. Jessica currently lives aboard a sailboat on the Columbia River and operates an industrial design business and letterpress print shop in an old artillery barracks on the grounds of Fort Vancouver.
