ABOUT THE SHOW

It’s 2009 and Larry’s in a pickle. The market has crashed and he and his friend Richard are facing financial ruin, jail time and worse--they’re afraid their wives will find out. Together, they craft a scheme that will solve all their financial and legal problems, by arranging the theft of a valuable piece of jewelry worth millions. Enter Frank and Henny, two bumbling burglars they hired who just can’t seem to get the job done. Will they beat the deadline before their world comes crashing down? This fast-paced, dark comedy explores the consequences of greed, lust, and entitlement that will keep the audience, and characters, guessing until the very end.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

Larry Ivans: 40-50 businessman. A real estate investor and broker who owns and
manages the building that they live in. Newly married (2 years) to Lydia. He’s a little high
strung and is a worrier.

Lydia Ivans: 30’s. Attractive and a bit of a gold-digger and spendthrift, but can pour on
the charm when needed.

Richard Greene: 40-50. Richard is an investment banker. A bit of a blowhard with a
dishonest streak. He’s a manipulator, womanizer. Married to Claudia.

Claudia Greene: 40-50. Been married to Richard for some time. Has his number, but
likes the comfortable lifestyle he’s provided.

Holly: 20-30’s. The Greene’s attractive housekeeper, also does light cleaning for the
Ivans. Both the men lust for her. The women treat her as a servant. Her sideline is
making craft jewelry.

Frank: 50-60’s. Con artist/thief who’s erudite and speaks in complicated flowery ten
dollar words. Moderately successful, but still pulling jobs to support himself. Looking
for the “big one” that will let him retire. Tall, well groomed.

Henny: 40-60’s. Short in stature, sincere, naïve, and one card short of a full deck. Eager
to help Frank with the caper. Being taken advantage of but doesn’t realize it. Does
Frank’s dirty work. Has a hard time understanding anything or the repercussions of
what he does. Perpetually hungry.

Mr./Miss Ferguson: (M/F) 40-60’s. No nonsense insurance claims manager. A kind of Wally
Cox, pedantic, unattractive, nasally.
