This is a free event and donations will be accepted, suggested donation of $5 per patron.
Come see a great show and support the young actors in Vancouver.
Pride & Prejudice, Jane Austen's classic novel of manners and marriage, comes to life in Magenta Theater's new adaptation, directed by Dorinda Toner. Elizabeth Bennet is a witty young woman content to enjoy country life with her family and their attentive neighbors in Hertfordshire, England. Things change, though, with the arrival of Mr. Bingley and his aloof friend, Mr.Darcy. A series of misunderstandings and subtle flirtations characterize this beloved story. Pride is wounded and prejudices are dissolved, as Elizabeth (and the audience) learns that first impressions aren't always right, marriage isn't always about love and sometimes family is more important than it seems.

May:
Magenta Academy Youth Production - May 7th performance - 5:00-8:00pm
Our Academy works to teach students the craft of acting –not how to be a show pony—while having a lot of fun. The students are working hard to craft challenging monologues and short scenes. This performance is free to all during the Artwalk and should be a great show. People who are interested in how our theater is serving the young artists in our area, or who may know someone interested in theater, should not miss this event.
